The Group and its history
The Etienne Lacroix Group has an exceptional heritage of over 170 years. Through the centuries, the company has evolved and grown itself step by step.
- 1848
- Etienne Lacroix married Guillaumette Clerc in Toulouse and founded his company, Lacroix. The family company manufactured fireworks and employed thirty.
- 1945
- Roger Barès diversified into national defense products.
- 1953
- A design office was set up to develop its own proprietary products, notably pyrotechnic decoys.
- 1960
- Acquisition of Moulages Plastiques du Midi (MPM) specialized in thermoplastic injection molding.
- 1993
- Establishment of Pyrotechnologies to develop and commercialize pyrotechnic applications to manufacturers.
- 1997
- With the acquisition of Ruggieri, the pyrotechnic company became the European leader in firework shows.
- 1999
- Acquisition of the countermeasures division of the "Société Nationale des Poudres et Explosifs", a public-sector manufacturer of powders and explosives, for civil and military applications.
- 2006
- Acquisition of ALSETEX specialized in law enforcement products and products specific to the petroleum, chemical and industrial sectors.
- 2010
- Establishment of the Etienne Lacroix Logistics division for hazardous materials transport.
- 2014
- Majority stake acquired in CIRRA.
- Acquisition of Pirotecnia Zaragozana.
